If you call Medjet, Medjet's medical department will consult with your local attending physician to determine your stability for transfer. If you meet the criteria for transport and are medically stable, the decision is yours.

All efforts is always made to get you moved home as quickly as possible, but there are several factors that affect the timing of your transport: whether or not you are stable enough for transport, the pre-admission process at the receiving hospital, where you are located and that country’s protocols for processing the paperwork to clear a transport aircraft and crew to retrieve you, and more. Medjet are experts at global medical transport, so rest assured the process moves as quickly as possible.

Yes. If medical transport is completed by commercial airline, the member will be flown on first or business class with a medical escort. Medjet will arrange for one traveling companion to accompany Member being transported at no additional cost, via economy class on the same flight (dependent upon seat availability). If medical transport is completed by a MedjetAssist-authorized aircraft, one traveling companion may accompany Member being transported at no additional cost, provided space is available and the Member’s care will not be compromised.

If you feel there is a threat in the area where you’re traveling, just call the Security and Crisis Response number on the back of your MedjetHorizon Membership card. MedjetHorizon does not depend on hard triggers, like official government-issued evacuation mandates, to act on behalf of members.
