Roy Berger letter


Roy Berger has led Medjet to the forefront of the evacuation/repatriation membership sector during his 20 year tenure. Prior to Medjet, Berger concluded a 35 year career in pari-mutuel racing, serving as President/CEO/Executive Vice President and General Manager at racetracks across the country. Berger’s management style and business success has been the subject of many editorial pieces and speaking engagements, including a Sunday New York Times feature. An avid baseball fan, he has published two highly acclaimed books on the topic, 'The Most Wonderful Week of the Year' and 'Big League Dream.' Berger is a graduate of The University of Miami with a degree in communications. He proudly serves as a director of the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.

John Gobbels letter

Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

John Gobbels brings over 23 years of pre-hospital, hospital and management experience to his role as Vice President and COO of Medjet. Before joining as Director of Transport Operations in 2006, Gobbels spent 13 years with STAT MedEvac, the air ambulance arm of the renowned University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he served multiple roles including Clinical Director for 6 years, overseeing all aspects of operations, compliance and communications. He holds a Masters degree in Management and Information Technology from Carlow University in Pittsburgh, as well as multiple degrees in health care.

Bill Miller letter

Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Bill Miller comes to MedjetAssist from Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection where he served as Executive Vice-President of Global Sales. Miller was previously part of the team that launched Travelocity, and has served in executive roles with Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Fareportal, Travel Guard, American Airlines, and MBank Fort Worth. Miller received his degree in business finance from Baylor University, and is a current member of the Global Business Travel Association. He also serves on the membership committee for the United States Travel Insurance Association.

Sheri Howell letter

Vice President - Marketing & Communications

Sheri Howell spent 14 years at MTV, where she helped evolve the "little niche music television channel" into one of the most internationally recognized brands in history. She brings over 20 years of experience in brand strategy, consumer marketing and public relations to Medjet. Former clients and project partners have included Walmart, Intel, Sony, Sports Illustrated, Virgin Airlines, Verizon, Snickers, Gatorade and the Hard Rock Casinos & Hotels. Howell's viral marketing content and integrated campaigns have earned Emmy, Clio, Webby, CES Global Media and NAACP Awards, multiple Telly Awards, and a nomination for the Titanium Lion at Cannes. Sheri is an alumnus of University of Washington and City University of New York-Hunter College.
