Two Travel Agents Wind Up Taking Their Own Advice

“People think they are getting the same services as MedjetAssist if they have platinum cards or certain other evacuation services, but it just isn’t the same,” says travel agent Bob Watson whose wife, Pat, had medical transport arranged by MedjetAssist. With proper verification, MedjetAssist will arrange for transport to your home hospital, but those other plans only take you to the nearest hospital that they feel is qualified to treat your condition. That is a very important difference.

Bob and Pat were on a plane from Hong Kong to London, returning from a routine business trip when Pat suffered a stroke, mid-air, between the two countries. Upon landing, she was taken to a hospital and assigned to a ward with seven other people. Bob called MedjetAssist, and two hours later a medically equipped jet and team were on the way to retrieve the couple from London.

"I was transported from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to Boone County, Kentucky, on Monday night, November 13, 2006, for an internal obstruction. I want to thank your company, the crew on the aircraft and the two ladies who provided the medical care on the trip for all of the excellent service and care.

My trip was very comfortable, and it was a great relief to get home to the medical care here. If I had stayed in Mexico, I would have had surgery that I did not really need. The diagnosis was totally different here. I stayed in the hospital until Friday, November 17, and am now at home recovering.

Several of our family and friends have become believers in your service as a result of my experience, and they plan to join. I will also be giving MedjetAssist to my sister as a Christmas gift.
